The subject of my thesis is at the intersection between personal and system transformations, and the interface between facilitating the present to imagine and enable the future. To be updated.....
I'm part of several networks who organically organise knowledge and action interventions which grow the field transformations in its own right. The Future Earth knowledge-action network ; U.Lab Research Group on Theory U ; Reos Partners ongoing application and analysis of transformative methods ; the 2018 International Transformative Learning Conference.
Transformations are processes, and I believe there are patterns which can be abstracted from a diversity of transformative process or experience. Transformations are what we need in abundance, in many many systems we interact with every day. Incremental transitions are not enough, we need many transformations in many places, with the stamp of people's aspirations and needs at their centre.
